Hospitality
As a former restaurateur, firm principal Kenneth Jaworski has always had a special understanding and passion for hospitality projects within our portfolio. Understanding both “the front of the house and the back of the house” is a unique quality that not many creative firms possess, but one which we embrace. The development of hospitality concepts and authentic eating, drinking, and lodging environments is at the core of what we do, and we share a selection of our projects here.
Highland House Hotel, Amsterdam
This small boutique hotel presented numerous challenges. First, was the monumental character of the building, that needed to be preserved. And secondly was the client’s desire to have an out-of-the-ordinary concept. We created the total concept; individual rooms and themes all tied together with certain classic and modern design elements, the name for the hotel, based on the family name of the client, and designed all the rooms and public space. For good measure, we also developed the logo for the client. In the end, The Highland House presents both a timely and timeless take on intimate lodging in Amsterdam.
